Renault Trucks and GEODIS launch a test phase for the ‘Oxygen’ urban electric prototype

GEODIS is starting a testing phase for ‘Oxygen’, a 100% electric truck dedicated to urban distribution. This innovative vehicle, designed by Renault Trucks in collaboration with its customer GEODIS, will be tested in the cities of Lyon and Paris until December 2024.

The ‘Oxygen’ project embodies Renault Trucks' commitment to offering sustainable transport solutions that meet the challenges of urban logistics. Equipped with the latest technologies, including a connected driving position, a sliding door on the passenger side, integrated screens and artificial intelligence, this truck has been designed to optimise the safety of drivers and users in city centres. The development of this 16-tonne HGV marks a key stage in the decarbonisation of urban logistics flows.

The test phase began on 9 September in Lyon and will continue in Paris in October. The aim is to assess the vehicle's performance in real-life conditions, by gathering feedback from drivers and fleet managers. This testing phase is part of Renault Trucks‘ and GEODIS’ shared commitment to offering environmentally-friendly transport solutions that also meet the sector's requirements in terms of performance and efficiency.
