Kleuster and Renault Trucks strengthen their partnership by appointing a new Managing Director
Okan Cavusoglu joined Renault Trucks in 2002. He held a number of positions in the R&D department, working on the development of industrial vehicles and their compliance with Euro anti-pollution regulations, as well as on the development of battery-electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles.
He then held a number of management positions in Europe, in the fields of strategy, innovation, product development and quality. Following two years in India developing products for the Asian market, he joined the sales division of Renault Trucks France as part of a new team dedicated to helping customers make the transition to low-carbon transport solutions.
Developing synergies and customer experience
In his new role as Managing Director, Okan Cavusoglu will be focusing on strengthening the synergies between Kleuster and Renault Trucks, and optimising the customer experience, both for sales and after-sales, as well as coordinating the Renault Trucks network that distributes the Freegônes cargo bikes. To this end, he will be working with the sales, marketing and production teams at Kleuster and Jean Lain Mobilités.
The Jean Lain Mobilités group, which has owned Kleuster since 2020, will remain the sole shareholder and Jean-Michel Lain will stay on as CEO, with Okan Cavusoglu reporting to him when he takes office.
New products and international expansion
Okan Cavusoglu’s appointment comes at a dynamic time for Kleuster and Renault Trucks, whose partnership is now entering a new and promising phase with the launch of several key projects relating to product range and marketing on a national and European scale.
Boosted by a decade’s experience, Kleuster, backed by Renault Trucks, is constantly working to develop and improve existing products, both in terms of technology and safety, in order to offer an efficient urban logistics solution.
As regards the distribution network, the two partners have taken their first steps outside France by marketing the Kleuster Freegônes in a cargo bike showroom at the Zero Emission Centre of Bluekens BV, a Renault Trucks dealer in Breda, in the Netherlands.
